Hang Gliding and Paragliding Club located in the Hampshire South Downs

SIV course with Flyeo, Annecy 15th to 22nd April, £735 inc accomodation

£400.00

Total cost for 2 days SIV training, rest of week free flying, plus accomodation: approx 840 euros. Your £400 payment is a deposit, with the balance to be paid by end of February.

Two days of SIV training with Flyeo. The SIV cost is 300 euros per day (600 euros total, ie about £535). There is room for 8 pilots on this course. The club is not making any profit from this.

We have reserved accomodation here, with shared rooms (but no sharing of beds!). The accomodation cost is £200 per person. Accomodation will be for one week, from the 15th to the 22nd April. This will mean we have plenty of time to enjoy some flying outside of the SIV training. If the weather is bad for flying, skiing will be possible an hour’s drive away.

Transport to be arranged, we may wish to drive out and share the cost.

FAQ

I have a question not answered here, who can I call?

Dave Harvey, the chief coach, is coming on this trip. You can call him on 07799 197345.

Can I come for just the SIV training, not for a whole week?
Yes – but if you’ll still need to pay £200 for the accomodation. If you can find someone else who wants to come fly with us while you’re not there, then you could share the cost with them

Who is this for?
Flyeo’s SIV courses are for nearly all levels of pilot. I (Dave Harvey – chief coach) would suggest that it’s best to have 10 hours under your belt and be confident and launching and landing.

What will the flying be like outside of SIV?
It’s quite early in the season – but thermal flying should still be possible. It will be beautiful and not crowded. Some coaching will be available.

What about food?

At least one person on the trip enjoys cooking. If we share the work of preparing meals and cleaning up afterwards, then we can eat together for modest cost at little effort. We might want to eat out once or twice.

What else do I need to know?
Make sure you read Flyeo’s page describing the course and the requirements here.

What if I need to cancel?
We’ll do our best to fill your place with someone else – you can help with this by spamming all your flying buddies. You may also decide to subsidise your replacement person. We would expect that if you want to cancel more than a few weeks in advance there will be no problem filling your place. Otherwise, you will be out of pocket.
